Ford 5.0L V8 PFDI Engine
Ford’s 5.0L V8 PFDI engine combines several features and technologies to help provide outstanding performance. Plasma transferred wire arc (PTWA) “spray bore” technology replaces cylinder sleeves to help reduce cylinder block weight. Cylinder head casting with high-flow ports provides a straight path to the valves for less restrictive intake and exhaust flow.
Key features
- Dual overhead camshaft (DOHC)
